The Up There is the solo music project from Karl Carson (he/him) a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Louisville Kentucky. He makes the kind of rich, ethereal indie-pop that emerges, dark and glittering, from the collective gay subconscious. Karl, an airline pilot, creates music that is infused with the longing and wistfulness of receiving otherworldly melodic downloads while watching cities twinkle by as he crosses the peaceful skies in the middle of the night.
